Several events to celebrate Día de Muertos are taking place at el Museo this year. Altares will be open to the public starting November 1st from 12-4. On November 2nd the celebration begins at 2:30 with dancers from Ballet Folklórico de Santa Fe. At 3 pm altares will be blessed by Danza Tonantzin de Analco. Following the blessing, Maestro D’Santiago Nava and Maestra Diana Franco will be hosting a Día de Los Muertos celebration at el Museo starting at 3 pm. More danzantes will join at 3:30, El Brujo Trio will play music with guest vocalists, and there will be an open mic for people to memorialize their loved ones through song, poems, prayer. On November 3rd, bring and share food for a potluck at 12 noon and enjoy music by Sam Leyba. If you are interested in setting up an ofrenda, stop by el Museo before November 1st.
